2017 Eclipse Cycle Challenge – May update
Training is well underway for the Velo Eclipse cycling team as we prepare for the Velo Birmingham 100 ride in September, supporting Cyclists Fighting Cancer.
On Saturday 20th May we joined 25 other business teams from around the region for a group training ride with Martin Johnson CBE, the Leicester Tigers and England Rugby legend.
A gentle ride through 30 miles of Warwickshire countryside was followed by a quick pint at the Purity Brewery who were hosting the start and finish, before the heavens opened and we had to cycle another 10 miles back to the cars!
ITV News where there to cover some of the event but and whilst we didn’t make the final cut we did make some new friends from organisations such as Homeserve and Birmingham Childrens Hospital.
In terms of progress to our goal of 2017 miles we’re well on the way distance wise having covered over 1500 miles already.
Please continue to sponsor us at https://cfc.everydayhero.com/uk/velo-club-eclipse and we’ll issue another update in June.
